March 15
REQUIRED
Book dry run
Book your session for a dry run between March 27th and April 14th here: https://calendly.com/nozurbina
Block at least 1 hr, preferably 1 hr 15 minutes to be safe.
DETAILS
Dry-runs are totally standard at OmniX. They have nothing to do with the speaker’s presentation ability, but are about nurturing a certain feel for the event to keep its uniqueness in the market (at least that’s what we’re trying to achieve). However, they are optional.
April 1
REQUIRED/OPTIONAL
Record your micronar
Record your 1-2 minutes long micronar (promo video) addressing one thing relevant to your presentation.
DETAILS
- <2 minutes self-contained mini-presentation addressing one thing relevant to your presentation.
- Can overlap or extract from your presentation
- Recordings in tools like Zoom or Loom are great. If you can do higher quality face camera that’s great.
- Please remember to include your face in the camera, not just slides!
- If you can do an intro of just your face before starting the slide share that is great. We can edit the transition if necessary.
- PLEASE DO NOT MENTION THE DATE of the conference so that we can reuse this content after this year’s event.
- PLEASE DO NOT USE ANY OMNIX COVER SLIDE – We will handle that in in the editing process.
EXAMPLE (We will add the intro/outro slide and music for you):

May 15
REQUIRED
Submit “debate starters”
Submit via email at least one “raging debate starer”
DETAILS
“Raging debate starters”
These are any questions/thoughts that cause people to stop scrolling and want to share their perspective on social media. They are controversial issue/hot button topics that promote interaction and get posts to rank higher with algorithms. We have seen active audience engagement can increase the visibility of posts about your session up to 1500%.
Examples would be:
“Content can be written once and reused on any channel. We don’t need to craft unique content on a channel-by-channel basis”
“FAQs are a terrible idea. Users don’t know if their question is ‘frequently asked’, they just want an answer. You need to present top answers to top questions at the time and place people need them, not bundle them all up under a category like ‘FAQ'”.
May 15
REQUESTED
Submit questions for Q&A
Submit a few “canned questions” that we can ask you in order to get the discussion going after the session:
- [1st question you’d like to be asked…]
- [2nd question you’d like to be asked…]
- [3rd question you’d like to be asked…]
DETAILS
Live session moderation
Your moderator will connect to the virtual room at least 5min before your talk to help you with any technical issues, and notify you by private chat when you are 10min away from Q&A and then 5min if you are doing a live Q&A.
They will introduce you to the audience and will collect and ask you the questions participants have entered during your talk. If you have a problem connecting to the virtual room please contact us on chat.
